Summer Tour

The eyo annual tour takes place at the end of the summer and allows the orchestra to demonstrate its ability to new audiences. It gives the players a chance to work on selected pieces performed during the year in more detail than is possible during weekly rehearsals.
In 2008 eyo will travel to the Basque region of Northern Spain and will stay in the historic town of Urduña in the School of Santa Maria Antigua and during 21-28 August will play an expected four concerts in the area.
In 2007 the orchestra visited Belgium, performing to attentive audiences in St Andrew’s Church, Antwerp, St Gummarus Church, Lier, and in Bruges and Brussels Cathedrals.
In 2006 the orchestra travelled to Germany's Black Forest. The year before it was based in Cherbourg and performed in Normandy, France. Previously eyo has visited Salzburg, Austria; West Bohemia in the Czech Republic; the Charente-Maritime, Brittany and Provence regions of France; Lake Garda, Italy; Catalonia, Spain; and Germany's Rhine Valley.
