EYO is delighted to be appearing for the fifth successive year at the prestigious Ealing Music and Film Festival. Once again we will be joined by members of the world-famous London Mozart Players for an ambitious and exciting programme. We open with Sibelius’s stirring Finlandia, before Rob Burton joins us for a reprise of his brilliant 2018 BBC Young Musician performance of the hugely enjoyable
but rarely heard Saxophone Concerto by American composer Paul Creston. The massed assembled forces will then perform the gigantic Second Symphony of Sergei Rachmaninov. It’s one of the most irresistibly romantic works in the orchestral repertoire, with unforgettably famous melodies throughout – there won’t be a dry eye in the house! It will be the climax of what is sure to be yet another memorable and uplifting evening.
